DataOne is the BSNL Broadband Service. It is the number 1 broadband internet service in India. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd India provides Broadband Internet Service through National Internet Backbone - II (NIB-II). National Internet Backbone - II is a multi-gigabit, multi-protocol, convergent IP infrastructure, which is always-on broadband. The Backbone comprising of 24 powerful Core Routers connected with high speed 2.5 Gbps(STM-16) links. You can access high speed internet from 256 kbps to 8 Mbps. The Broadband service will be available on the same copper cable that is used for connecting telephone using Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technology. It also provide Video Multicasting, Video-on-demand, Interactive gaming, Audio Conferencing, Video Conferencing, IP Telephony, Distance learning, Messaging, Multi-site Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS is a technology that allows complete control over parameters like bandwidth throughputs, latencies and availability.), Virtual Private Network (VPN is a computer network in which links between nodes are carried by open connections or virtual circuits). The above services can be access through Subscriber Service Selection System (SSSS) portal. BSNL Broadband Service provides Quality of Service (QoS) guarantee.
